Vishwanath Temple, also known as Kashi Vishwanath Temple, is one of the most prominent tourist places in Varanasi. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the presiding deity of the city. The temple is also known as the Golden Temple because of its gold plating and holds a special place in the hearts of Hindus. Kashi Vishwanath Temple is surrounded by many temples. There are 5 Aartis in the temple daily between 4 am to 11 pm.
