SMS has organized a Corporate Lecture series in their lush green and adorable campus in Varanasi on 28th August and 8th September 2012. In the programme, intellectuals from different fields enlightened the students on different aspects of management. The key speakers of the lecture series were Mr. Shivam Bansal, Director, J. J. Plastalloy Ltd., Varanasi and Ms Charu Mehrotra, HR-Manager, ITC Wills Lifestyle, New Delhi. Speaking on the first day of the lecture series Mr. Bansal discussed the various aspects of Entrepreneurship and its relevance in present business environment. Mr. Bansal, in his deliberations, emphasized on the main traits of an entrepreneur. He discussed about the shrinking job prospects and importance of entrepreneurial abilities for self dependence. He has discussed the real time challenges and possible solutions to the existing problems in business operations. This Lecture session has been organized for BBA students.
On 8th September, Ms. Mehrotra has discussed about the career prospects after completion of Post Graduate Courses. She has emphasized on the need of trained human resource in the corporate arena. She has opined that Management Graduates will have to join the industry at the entry level jobs. Thereafter they may move ahead on the basis of their skills and managerial abilities. This Lecture sessions were organized for PGDM Students.
