New Vishwanath Mandir Varanasi is located in the BHU campus in Varanasi which is also known as Birla Mandir as it was built by the Birla Group of Industries. The sanctuary was established by Raja Birla of the Birla group of industrialists extraordinaire. It was planned by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, the founder of the Banaras Hindu University. There are total nine temples in the BHU campus, Shiva Lingam, Nataraja, Mata Parvati, Ganesha, Panchmukhi Mahadev, Hanuman, Mata Saraswati, and Nandi Temple.
